The automatic mode is activated by the user pressing a button located on the side of the helmet. It is designed to ensure maximum safety during welding activities. The manual mode allows the operator to select either a bright or a dim setting manually.

The first step when replacing your welding helmet battery is to turn off the welder. Remove the welding glove from the hand holding the switch (if applicable), then remove the welding hood and goggles. Next, disconnect the welding cables from the machine and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Finally, unscrew the top of the welding helmet and gently pull out the old battery.

To install the new battery, locate the original battery and use an Exacto knife to carefully cut around the spot where the original battery was held. Then open up the case and insert the new battery into its designated location. Be careful not to crush the positive terminal of the battery. Once you’ve inserted the new battery, screw down the top of the welding mask and plug the power cord back in.

Cigweld’s Welding Helmet Warranty provides 2 years warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. We will repair or replace the helmet at no charge to the customer. The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, accident, improper maintenance, normal wear-and-tear, loss or theft.

The Cigweld Auto Darkening Welding Helmet features an innovative system which allows welders to work comfortably in bright light conditions while still having full visibility when working in darker areas of their workspace. The unique design of this helmet features a multi-function switch located on the top of the unit where the welder can easily adjust between two modes – Light/Dark (Auto) and Bright/Dim (Manual). When the welder turns the switch to Auto mode, the welding helmet will automatically dim its internal lighting according to the ambient light level around them. In brighter environments, the helmet will become more brightly lit; whereas in lower light environments, the welding helmet will slowly fade into darkness.
