Contact Tips Features |
Binzel style contact tips are designed with a solid copper construction for increased conductivity and spatter resistance, this leaves you with a cleaner finish and improved life of your contact tip. |
Manufactured to be 100% compatible with OEM parts. |
Solid copper and alloy construction. |
Spatter resistant. |
Extended consumable life. |
Contact tips are one of the most frequently replaced components of a MIG gun. The contact tip is responsible for guiding the wire and transferring the current from the conductor tube—sometimes referred to as a swan neck or goose neck – through the filler wire and ultimately to the workpiece. |
Drive Roller Features |
Aluminium and Soft Wire require an U shape groove. Aluminium wire has a lot less column strength, can bend easily and is therefore more difficult to feed. Soft wires can easily buckle at the wire feeder where the wire is fed into inlet guide tube of the torch. The U-shaped roller offers more surface area grip and traction to help feed the softer wire. Softer wires also require less tension from the top pressure roller to avoid deforming the shape of the wire, too much tension will push the wire out of shape and cause it to catch in the contact tip. |
Liner Features |
An aluminium liner guides your wire inside the torch lead, and this liner ensures the wire makes it out of the torch tip. The size of your liner needs to match the size of the wire you are using. For aluminium liners, a neck spring is also required (SKU: NKSTL). The liners are colour coded for easy identification. |
Wire Roller Features |
Precision layer wound aluminium MIG wire 5% Mg is considered to be the most commonly used aluminium wire.
